Privacy Policy

We keep data collection deliberately minimal. We collect:

• Account information — your email address, first and last name, and phone number (used to send one-time sign-in codes).
• Sign-in provider data — if you choose “Sign in with Apple” or “Sign in with Google,” we receive your name and email address from that provider to create your account.
• App activity — the recipes you save and the grocery ingredients you check off, so we can sync them to your account.
• Purchase and subscription data — if you subscribe to Chefit Pro, we collect your purchase history and subscription status (for example, whether your subscription is active, in a free trial, or expired) so we can provide and manage your subscription. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

We do not collect your precise location, device advertising identifiers, health or fitness data, or photos (the app has no image uploads). We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software.

Our servers and infrastructure providers may transiently process your IP address for security and rate-limiting; we do not use it to track or profile you.

• To create and authenticate your account and deliver one-time sign-in codes.
• To provide the Service — saving your recipes and grocery lists to your profile.
• To provide and manage your Chefit Pro subscription, including free trials, billing status, and renewals.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service and comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the Service, and only for that purpose:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
• Render — hosting for our application server.
• Twilio — delivery of one-time SMS sign-in codes (provided through Supabase).
• Apple and Google — only if you choose their respective sign-in methods.
• Apple — processing of in-app purchases and subscription billing through the App Store when you subscribe to Chefit Pro.
• RevenueCat — our payments provider, which manages in-app subscriptions and records your purchase history and subscription status.

Your data is stored and processed in the United States. Continued use of the Service constitutes consent to this processing.

We retain your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). Deleting your account immediately and irreversibly removes your profile, saved recipes, and grocery data from our systems. No email request is required.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise access and deletion directly through the in-app account controls, or contact us at hello@chefit.xyz. We do not sell personal information.

The Service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We protect your information using encryption in transit and access controls. All client requests are routed through our application server, which scopes every action to your own account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
